Services We Offer

At Podiatry Professionals we provide the following services:

General Footcare – We treat a variety of skin and nail conditions such as corns, callous, cracked heels, plantar warts, thickened and ingrown toenails.

Foot Function Assessments –Foot function assessments include obtaining a detailed history followed by joint, muscle and postural alignment testing from the hip to the foot and a detailed gait analysis (listed below). Combining all this information allows our practitioners to diagnose, educate you the patient and prescribe the best possible treatment for you. Foot function assessments are useful in not only treating current conditions but also preventing injury.

Video Gait Analysis – The dynamic function of one’s feet provides the most important information to a Podiatrist. At Podiatry Professionals we use state of the art gait analysis computer softwear in order to obtain the most accurate and detailed information from the way you walk. We then educate you on all aspects of your gait cycle and how they relate to your condition.

Orthotic Therapy - Prescription orthoses are often issued to treat biomechanical issues and can be prescribed to improve joint mal-alignment and reduce tension forces on muscles, tendons and ligaments. Improving postural alignment and foot function often reduces painful symptoms.

Children/Growing Feet Assessment – Early assessment and treatment of children’s feet with features such as flat feet, excessive shoe wear or regular tripping is imperative to long term results. Long term outcome with early intervention has much better results.

Footwear Evaluation – Different feet require different types of shoes and incorrect footwear can lead to injuries. At Podiatry Professionals we assess running shoes, sports specific shoes , work shoes, dress shoes even sandals to ensure that you are wearing the correct shoe for your foot type.

Diabetic Assessment – Diabetes can affect the feet in a number of ways and it is important to establish the status of one’s feet immediately after diagnosis and then every subsequent year. A number of vascular and neurological tests are done to determine any risk factors present followed by extensive advice and any treatment required.
